Yadanarbon moved two points clear at the top of the Myanmar National League on Saturday after coming from behind to beat Zwekapin United 2-1 at the Bogyoke Aung San Stadium.
Zwekapin had taken the lead in the 11th minute after Takamatsu Kentaro opened the scoring, but Edison Fonseca equalised from the spot three minutes after the break.
And in the 72nd minute, Yadanarbon were awarded another penalty which Fonseca clinically converted again to help his side claim the three points.
Yangon United are up to second following an emphatic 6-1 win over Zeyar Shwe Myay at the Yangon United Sports Complex.
Cesar broke the deadlock for the hosts a minute after the half-hour mark and added a second ten minutes later, before Myanmar international Kyaw Ko Ko netted to hand them a commanding lead at the break.
Two minutes into the second half, Cesar completed his hat-trick and Emerson Luiz Tito got in on the act by making it 5-0 in the 56th minute.
Cesar then grabbed his fourth goal of the game in the 73rd minute, before Chukwuazu Chidibiere scored a consolation for Zeyar Shwe Myay two minutes later.
Nay Pyi Taw were also winners on Saturday after cruising to a 3-1 victory over Chin United at the Bogyoke Aung San Stadium.
Keith Murtu Nah fired Chin United ahead after nine minutes, but centre-back Obadin Aikhena found the equaliser three minutes after the half-hour mark.
Korean midfielder Sim Jung then put Nay Pyi Taw ahead with a penalty in the 72nd minute, before Michele Di Piedi struck six minutes later to wrap up the win.
Sunday’s action saw Ayeyawady United claim their first win of the campaign in impressive fashion after they beat Kanbawza 3-1 at the Bogyoke Aung San Stadium.
Following a goalless first half, Lassina Kone broke the deadlock for Ayeyawady five minutes after the hour mark, only for Soe Min Oo to equalise for their opponents ten minutes later.
But in the 86th minute, the designated hosts took the lead again thanks to an effort from Nanda Lin Kyaw Chit, before Kone struck his second of the match a minute from time to put the result beyond doubt.
Elsewhere, Manaw Myay defeated Magway 1-0 thanks to Kyaw Swar Lin I’s winner just before halftime.
Monday’s only game saw Southern Myanmar ended a two-game losing streak with a 2-0 triumph over GFA.
Khine Zaw Tun broke the deadlock in the 79th minute to put Southern Myanmar on course for their first points of the season, before the result was secured in injury-time when Auyasi Omile Obinna scored an own-goal.
