Barito Putera claimed their first point of the 2014 Indonesia Super League campaign on Tuesday following a 2-2 draw against Western zone opponents Gresik United.
Having been beaten in their first three games of the season, it looked like another defeat was on the cards for them at the Petrokimia Stadium, after Brazilian centre-back Otavio Dutra fired the hosts ahead in the 28th minute.
However, Barito Putera hit back a minute after the hour mark when Liberian striker James Koko Lomell grabbed his second goal of the campaign, and they then found themselves in front when Dedi Hartono netted in the 75th minute.
Nonetheless, it was not to be a win for the visitors as Kacung Khoirul equalised for Gresik nine minutes from time, although Bakantan Hamuk coach Salahudin is likely to be pleased with his side getting off the mark.
The result was enough to take Barito Putera off the bottom of the Western zone and above Persijap Jepara and Persik Kediri, while their opponents remain seventh.
