Persebaya Surabaya moved four points clear in the Eastern zone of the Indonesia Super League on Friday after cruising to a 4-1 win at Persepam Madura United.
It took Persebaya 11 minutes to open the scoring when Dedi Kusnandar netted from the penalty spot, before Emmanuel Kenmogne added a second in the 26th minute.
Kenmogne then doubled his tally in the 42nd minute to put the visitors firmly in control of the tie, although Madura kept alive their slim hopes of getting a result when Paraguayan forward Jose Jara struck a minute later.
Nonetheless, the result was put beyond doubt on the stroke of halftime when Kenmogne completed his hat-trick, wrapping up the three points for Persebaya in the process.
The result allowed Rahmad Darmawan’s charges to extend their lead at the top of the table to four points, although Mitra Kukar and Persela Lamongan both have a game in hand.
