Barito Putera finally notched their first win in the 2014 Indonesia Super League campaign after beating Western zone opponents Pelita Bandung Raya 1-0 on Saturday.
Following a goalless first half at the Demang Lehman Stadium, Liberia international James Koko Lomell netted his second goal in as many games in the 69th minute to hand his side maximum points.
The result, which ended Barito’s run of five games without victory, also allowed to climb off the foot of the table and send Persik Kediri bottom.
Over in the Eastern zone, there was also a first win for Persiba Balikpapan as they claimed a 1-0 win over PSM Makassar at the Persiba Stadium.
The only goal of the game came in the 21st minute when Argentine forward Fernando Gaston Soler netted his second goal of the campaign to win it for the hosts.
With the victory, Persiba climbed two spots up to eighth spot on the table, overtaking PSM in the process.
