PDRM made the most of their game in hand on Monday by beating UiTM FC 2-0 to move three points clear at the top of the Malaysia Premier League.
The Cops headed into their game at the UiTM Stadium ahead of second-placed Penang only on goal difference, and initially failed to find a way past their opponents in the first half.
But eight minutes after the hour mark, they finally broke the deadlock thanks to a Charles Souza Chad strike, before Mohamdou Sumareh opened his account for the club in the 89th minute to wrap up the three points.
Over at the Petaling Jaya Stadium, FELDA United claimed their fourth successive win following a 1-0 win over Kedah.
The winner came in the 64th minute when Edward Junior Wilson notched his tenth goal of the campaign to hand the hosts all three points, which was enough to see them move just four points behind Penang.
The result also means that FELDA are starting to hit a rich vein of form, having scored 13 goals in their last four outings and conceding just four.
