PSM snap two-game losing streak with Perseru win

PSM Makassar ended a two-game losing run in the Indonesia Super League on Monday after claiming a 1-0 win over Perseru Serui.

Indonesia international Muhammad Rachmat fired PSM ahead at the Mandala Stadium a minute before the break, which ultimately proved enough for the three points despite the hosts’ best efforts at facing the draw.

After back-to-back defeats to Persela Lamongan and Persiba Balikpapan, the result enabled PSM to return to winning ways as they look to rebuild their season following the appointment of Rudi William Keltjes at the helm.

PSM are now sixth in the Eastern zone and two points away from the top four, while Perseru fell one spot down to eighth.
