Persiram Raja Ampat missed the chance to move top of the Eastern zone in the Indonesia Super League after falling to a 2-1 defeat to Persepam Madura United.
Madura took the lead at the Gelora Bangkalan in the 13th minute thanks to a Zaenal Arif penalty, but Errol Simunapendi equalised for the visitors seven minutes into the second half.
Both sides were then reduced to ten men in the 69th minute after Persiram winger Engelbert Sani and opposition striker Silvio Escobar were handed their matching orders, and it looked increasingly likely that the points would be shared.
But in injury-time, the hosts were awarded another spot-kick and although his initial effort was saved by Deny Marcel, Jose Jara was able to net on the rebound to win it for his side.
Over in the Western zone, Barito Putera picked up only their second win of the campaign after beating Persita Tangerang 2-1 at the Singa Perbangsa Stadium.
The visitors broke the deadlock in the 25th minute through a strike from midfielder Rizky Ripora, before Liberia international James Koko Lomell doubled their lead five minutes after the hour mark.
Persita were able to pull one back two minutes from time when captain Luis Duran scored from the spot but it proved to be too little too late, as Barito Putera held out for the win.
