Pasargad’s relegation troubles in the United Football League worsened on Saturday after they fell to a 4-1 loss at the hands of Pachanga Diliman at the Emperador Stadium.
Having claimed just one win all season long, it was no surprise that Pasargad fell behind in the 23rd minute courtesy of Jayson Cutamora’s opener but they were handed a real boost six minutes before halftime when their opponents had Shayan Jafri sent off.
However, Pachanga did not appear affected by the numerical deficit and doubled their lead two minutes into the second half via a Gerardo Valmayor strike, before PSG wasted an excellent chance to equalise in the 59th minute when Hossein Doustdarsefidmazgi had a penalty saved by Steve Yambou.
Five minutes after the hour mark, Jang Ho-yoon netted to make it 3-0 and three minutes later, it was Pasargad’s turn to be reduced to ten men when Jerome Cuyos was sent off for a second bookable offence.
Doustdarsefidmazgi did make amends for his earlier miss when he pulled one back in the 70th minute, but things boiled over five minutes later when both sides were reduced to nine men after Promise Jolomi and Davide Cortina were handed their marching orders.
But there was never really any doubt that Pachanga would be emerging victorious, and they went on to wrap up the three points five minutes from the end when Jang netted his second of the evening.
