An Giang, HAGL play out thriller; Quang Nam down Hai Phong

Hung Vuong An Giang and Hoang Anh Gia Lai had to settle for a share of the spoils at the Long Xuyen Stadium on Sunday after playing out a 3-3 draw in the V.League 1.

An Giang claimed a 19th-minute lead when Felix Ajala scored, but it took Felix Ogbuke just four minutes to fire the visitors level.

HAGL then took the lead four minutes after halftime through a Tran Minh Vuong strike and although Dinh Hoang Max equalised in the 57th minute, they reclaimed their lead a minute later when Timothy Anjembe notched his 15th goal of the campaign.

However, seven minutes after the hour mark, An Giang star Mac Hong Quan found the back of the net to earn his side a valuable point although they remain bottom of the table and five points away from their closest rivals Dong Tam Long An.

Over at the Lach Tray Stadium, QNK Quang Nam ended a run of three draws in a row after beating Hai Phong 2-0.

Henry Kisekka fired Quang Nam ahead after 25 minutes, before Dinh Thanh Trung made mistake in coverting a penalty just before halftime to make sure of the three points.
