Archers deal title blow to Kaya; Stallion down Team Socceroo

Kaya’s ailing United Football League title hopes were dealt another major blow on Tuesday after they were beaten 2-0 by Green Archers United at the Emperador Stadium.

Robert Waly Lopez Mendy continued his excellent run of form as he fired the Archers ahead in the 35th minute, before adding a second – his 13th goal of the campaign – four minutes after the hour mark to make sure of the three points.

While the result keeps Rodolfo Alicante’s charges fifth on the table, it also severely dented Kaya’s hopes of catching leaders Global as they are remain seven points off the pace having played a game more.

In Tuesday’s early kickoff, Stallion FC cruised to a 2-0 win over Team Socceroo to stretch their undefeated run to ten games in a row.

Jose Luis Lozano got Stallion on their way as he opened the scoring two minutes after the half-hour mark, before Joevic Albino doubled their tally in injury-time to seal the victory.
