Park Kang-jin was in inspirational form once more on Wednesday as he helped Balestier Khalsa to a 3-0 win over Tanjong Pagar United in the S.League.
After a starring role in the Tigers’ 3-1 Singapore Cup win over Warriors FC last Tuesday, the South Korean continued his fine form since returning from injury as he propelled his side to three points at the Queenstown Stadium.
He was the creator as the visitors opened the scoring after just six minutes when he fed a neat ball to compatriot Kim Min-ho, who clinically fired his shot past Aurelien Herisson into the bottom corner.
A minute after the half-hour mark, Balestier doubled their tally when Croatian striker Goran Ljubojevic racked up his 11th goal of the campaign – meeting a corner with a header that took a series of deflections before finding its way into the back of the net.
And in the 57th minute, Marko Kraljevic’s charges went on to seal the victory after Park grabbed a goal of his own; cutting in from the right before firing into the bottom corner to cap off a fine display from him and his side.
