Mitra Kukar moved back on top of the Eastern zone in the Indonesia Super League on Friday after cruising to a 4-0 win over Persiba Bantul at the Aji Imbut Stadium.
It took them just six minutes to break the deadlock when Anindito Wahyu Erminarno found the back of the net, before Zulham Zamrun made it 2-0 in the 41st minute.
The contest was effectively over when Herman Dzumafo Epandi added a third for Mitra a minute before halftime but just for good measure, Dedi Gusmawan scored another in the 66th minute to cap off a fine display from his side.
The result saw Mitra move level on 29 points with Persipura Jayapura, although they currently lead the table due to their superior goal difference.
Over at the Si Jalak Harupat Stadium, Boban Nikolic scored the only goal of the game in the 76th minute to hand Pelita Bandung Raya at 1-0 win over Barito Putera in the Western zone.
In Thursday’s action, Western leaders Arema Cronus were denied maximum points for the second game running as they were held to a 0-0 draw by second-from-bottom Gresik United at the Petrokimia Stadium.
Meanwhile, Persepam Madura United overtook Persiram Raja Ampat into fifth place in the East following a 3-1 victory over Persela Lamongan.
Persepam took the lead at the Gelora Bangkalan after just two minutes when Moldovan defender Eduard Valuta struck, before Slamet Nurcahyono doubled their advantage six minutes later.
Addison did manage to pull one back for Persela in the 15th minute, but Ishak Djober made it 3-1 11 minutes later to seal the win for the hosts.
