Mitra move three clear in the East; Persib ease past Barito

Eastern zone leaders Mitra Kukar moved three points clear in the Indonesia Super League on Tuesday after toiling to a 1-0 win over Persiram Raja Ampat.

Following a goalless first half at the Aji Imbut Stadium, Anindito Wahyu Erminarno continued his excellent run of form as he scored his third goal in his last four games 12 minutes from time to hand the hosts all three points.

The victory means Mitra are now three points clear of second-placed Persipura Jayapura, while Persiram remain sixth on the table.

Over in the Western zone, Persib Bandung made it two wins in a row as they beat Barito Putera 3-1 at the Si Jalak Harupat Stadium.

The hosts took the lead four minutes before halftime when Makan Konate netted from the spot, before the Malian doubled his and his side’s tally a minute into the second half.

Barito Putera did manage to pull one back in the 56th minute when Amirul Mukminin found the back of the net, but Ferdinand Sinaga struck Persib’s third eight minutes later to put the result beyond doubt.
