Persija Jakarta moved seven points behind Western zone leaders Arema Cronus in the Indonesia Super League on Thursday after claiming a 4-0 win over Persita Tangerang.
Ramdani Lestaluhu continued his excellent run of form as he fired Persija ahead at the Sultan Agung Stadium after five minutes, and added a second – his fourth goal in his last three games – in the 23rd minute.
Nine minutes before halftime, the contest was effectively over when Ivan Bosnjak found the back of the net to make it 3-0, before Eddie Boakay netted from the spot a minute before the hour mark to wrap up an impressive victory for the visitors.
Despite claiming maximum points, Persija remain in fourth place due to their inferior goal difference to Persib Bandung, who now have two games in hand.
Over in the Eastern zone, Persiba Balikpapan bounced back from their 4-0 defeat to Persebaya Surabaya as they recorded a 2-0 triumph over PSM Makassar at the Gelora Bung Tomo.
The visitors broke the deadlock when Pape Latyr N’Diaye scored in the 25th minute; his first goal from the club since joining from Gresik United.
And five minutes from time, Ansu Toure added a second to seal the win for Persiba, although PSM wasted an excellent chance to get back into the game a minute later after Andi Oddang failed to convert from 12 yards after they had been awarded a penalty.
