DPMM FC were unable to claim maximum points against Geylang International in the S.League for the second time this season after both sides played out a 0-0 draw on Saturday.
The Bruneian outfit entered the game at the Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah National Stadium looking to end a three-game losing streak, following crucial defeats to title rivals Warriors FC, Home United and Tampines Rovers.
And although they were coming up against a Geylang side who have been steadily improving under Jorg Steinebrunner – having lost just three of their last 13 matches – Steve Kean’s charges were still expected to claim all three points at home.
However, they failed to find a way past the resilient Eagles and ultimately had to settle for a share of the spoils.
It was the second time this season the Bruneians failed to take maximum points against Geylang, after both sides played out a 1-1 draw back in March in what had been Steinebrunner’s second game in charge after replacing V. Kanan at the helm.
