Persipura Jayapura are now one point off the top of the Indonesia Super League Eastern zone after recording a 2-0 win over Putra Samarinda on Thursday afternoon.

However, Zulham Zamrun came to his side’s rescue and his struck 14 minutes from time to earn Mitra a share of the spoils.

Ten minutes from time, the contest was effectively over after Muhammad Rachmat added a third for the visitors, although Persiba did manage a consolation when Emile Mbamba netted from the spot in the 87th minute.
