Champions Binh Duong held; Ha Noi finish with win

Newly-crowned V.League 1 champions Becamex Binh Duong concluded their campaign on Sunday with a 1-1 draw against SHB Da Nang at the Go Dau Stadium.

Binh Duong entered the game on a high after wrapping up the title last week with a game to spare, but it was Da Nang who drew first blood when Doan Hung Son broke the deadlock after 15 minutes.

Nonetheless, Dang Van Thanh found the equaliser seven minutes before halftime, which ultimately proved enough to earn his side a share of the spoils.

Meanwhile, second-placed Ha Noi T&T finished two points behind the champions after cruising to a 5-2 win over Thanh Hoa at the Hang Day Stadium.

It was Thanh Hoa who were leading at the break courtesy of Le Quoc Phong’s 20th-minute opener, but their opponents responded two minutes into the second half when Bui Van Hieu netted.

After Daneil Cyrus had put the hosts ahead in the 51st minute, Nguyen Van Quyet then extended their lead three minutes later, only for Le Thanh Binh to pull one back for Thanh Hoa immediately after.

But Ha Noi regained their two-goal cushion in the 75th minute when Hoang Vu Samson found the back of the net, before Pham Van Thanh came off the bench to wrap things up with a fifth four minutes from time.

Song Lam Nghe An were the only other top-five side that ended the season with a victory after coming from behind to beat Hung Vuong An Giang 2-1 at the Long Xuyen Stadium.

Although An Giang had taken the lead through a Mac Hong Quan strike in the 25th minute, the hosts pulled level seven minutes after the hour mark when Nguyen Quang Tinh notched his second goal of the campaign.

And as the clock ticked over into injury-time, the turnaround was completed as Paul Emile Biyaga scored to hand SLNA maximum points.

Over at the Cua Ong Stadium, Than Quang Ninh made it three wins in their final four games after defeating QNK Quang Nam 2-0.

Following a goalless first half, Vu Minh Tuan fired the hosts ahead when he scored from the penalty spot in the 69th minute, before Uche Iheruome struck in injury-time to seal the victory.

Finally, Ganiyu Oseni’s 53rd-minue strike was enough to hand Dong Tam Long An a 1-0 triumph over Dong Nai at the Dong Nai Stadium, while Hoang Anh Gia Lai beat Hai Phong 2-1 at the Pleiku Stadium.
