Stallion come from behind to make it two wins in a row

Stallion FC notched their second consecutive win in the United Football League on Tuesday after coming from behind to beat Manila Jeepney 4-1.

It was Jeepney who broke the deadlock at the Rizal Memorial Stadium in the 14th minute when Alvaro Alonso opened the scoring, but their opponents pulled level just seven minutes later when Jordan Mintah found the back of the net with a powerful effort.

Stallion then edged ahead a minute after the hour mark as Emmanuel Mbata netted on the rebound, after Ruben Doctora’s initial effort had been saved, before Mario Clarino grabbed a third for them two minutes later with an unstoppable strike from the edge of the box.

And in the first minute of injury-time, the rout was completed as Mintah grabbed his second of the evening to cap off a fine display from Stallion, who moved up to fourth on the table and a point behind leaders Global, who have played a game more.
